Maria composes for ensembles with various instrumentation. Her expertise is largely focused on vocal-dominated music. She has throughout the years received funding from Fond For Lyd og Bilde, Komponistenes Vederlagsfond, Tekstforfatterfondet and Arts Council England for her compositional and lyric-writing work.
